Ropin' Bill's Story...

Ropin’ Bill Grew up in the deserts of Nevada and California where hot spicy food was a normal every day event. His mother was one of those cooks that could make a whole meal out of whatever was on hand. He learned to cook and create good food from his mom.

Many Years ago Ropin’ Bill set out on a quest on his trusty steed - Blaze traveling from town to town to find the perfect Hot sauce. He found most to be bland with not enough heat. There were some that had good flavor and some that had good heat. Ropin’ Bill required both Flavor and heat. After trying what seemed like hundreds of sauces he decided He could do it better. Many many test batches were made and they all lacked “something”. It Just wasn’t right.

Years later he was in a small family restaurant in Arkansas and he asked for some peppers to put in his chili. They said they had some new ones a customer brought in. Ropin’ Bill had never seen a habanero pepper before. So since Ropin’ Bill had never met a pepper he didn’t like, Ropin’ Bill took a huge bite out of that habanero; then he instantly coughed and stopped breathing. His whole head turned red, sweat began to profusely pour out all over his body. Ropin’ Bill’s wife was sitting across the table and thought she was going to have to bury him. After what seemed like an eternity he started breathing again! He was still burning up, grabbing everything in sight to try to cool the BURN; nothing helped. Forty minutes later he was still burning. Ropin’ Bill had stumbled onto the HOTTEST PEPPER IN THE WORLD! One hundred times hotter than the jalapeño!

Surviving the habanero’s fire, Ropin’ Bill knew he had finally roped in a pepper that had what it would take to complete his recipe! It had such a unique fruity flavor and was fantastically hot. Ropin’ Bill was grinning from ear to ear.

Ropin’ Bill began to make his sauce for his family and friends on special occasions. The demand increased year after year until it was all year round. Then someone suggested he start selling it.

Today Ropin’ Bill has created several sauces and gifts for the enjoyment of the HOT SAUCE connoisseur.

Hint: granulated sugar really helps put out the fire of the Habanero.
